PhD Positions

Interested in {integrated circuit, architecture, and system) Design for batteryless {computing, learning, and sensing} Systems?

IDEA Lab (https://www.idealab.academy/) at the University of Illinois Chicago has multiple openings for PhD students for Fall and Spring 2024. We are seeking motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic students to pursue fully funded research in the intersection of Al, sustainable computing, and computer architecture. iDEA Lab preferably looks for students who are already in the USA or can get visas easily as we want to start the project as soon as possible.

Minimum Qualification:

B.S./ M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering

• Research experience in computer architecture and/or mixed Signal IC design • Proficient in Cadence, Synopsys Toolchain (Design Compiler, HSPICE, etc.) • Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Gem5, RISC-V

• Tape-out experience

• Strong publication record
