Catholic Diocese of Yola gets new Priests.

The Catholic Bishop of yola Diocese,Most Reverend Stephen Dami Mamza has ordained six new priests in the Catholic Diocese of Yola.

The ordination ceremony which took place at saint Theresa's Cathedral, jimeta was attended by Bishop of Archdiocese of kaduna Mathew Ndagoso, clergy, family, Friends and well wishers of the newly ordained priests.

Performing the ordination rites, the Catholic Bishop who doubles as the Chairman of the Adamawa State Christian Association of Nigeria expressed joy about the increase in the diocese. 

 

Those ordained are Rev. Fr. Ezekiel Bitrus, Fr. Philip Emmanuel, Fr. Polycarp Ebuka, Fr. Jude Raphael mbotepi, Fr. Cosmos Umaru and Fr. Barnabas Robert OSA.

Highlight of the ordination ceremony was blessings of the cars by Bishop Mamza before handing them over to the new priests to provide logistics support as they began the work of mission.

Father Polycarp was reported to be the youngest priest amongst them and also the youngest in Nigeria, according to the report He was said to be 24 years.
