Apply for a Fully funded PhD position (covering international fees) at UCL Dept of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering in advanced structural steel design 📢 

I am looking to recruit a PhD candidate with a strong background and interest in structural analysis and design. The candidate will work on developing the method of design by finite element (FE) analysis for steel and stainless steel structures. The key driver for this work is on improving structural efficiency and sustainability by harnessing a more streamlined design process, that capitalises on the increasing availability of computing power and digital thinking. 

Experience in programming (e.g. python, matlab) and using finite element software (e.g. Abaqus) is desirable.
