The Small Grains Pathology Lab at Oklahoma State University is looking for a passionate PhD student for Fall 2024/Spring 2025
The student will work on the identification of disease resistance genes in wheat. Findings will be translated into winter wheat breeding in the U.S. Southern Great Plains. The successful candidate will coordinate research projects with scientists of the OSU wheat improvement team and other collaborators.
Preferred qualifications:
1- MS in Plant Pathology, Crop Science, Plant Genetics and Breeding or a closely related field
2- Experience in gene mapping, genotyping, phenotyping, genomics, greenhouse management, field small plot research, and marker assisted selection.
3- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
